When we got pregnant with Edie, Chase and I discussed how important it is for us to spent one on one time with out kids. We decided that once a month, or however often we can, we would take one of the girls on a date. They could have a mommy daughter, or daddy daughter date. Something simple.
Lillie has a date with Chase tonight. She got excited to get ready and to go spend time with her favorite person alone. They decided to go to the dollar store to let her choose something, apparently she didn’t want to buy anything, she was content just playing in the store. Then they went out for frozen yogurt, which apparently was her favorite part. She loved that she could choose anything she wanted on her ice cream, and when she was don’t she immediately went back to get more. She wasn’t very happy when she realized you couldn’t do that.
I’m grateful for the moments I get one on one with my girls. Although they are few and far between, they are some of my favorites.
