It's tradition to go to temple square opening night, the day after Thanksgiving. Since Chase's parents live across the street, and we have access to the underground tunnels it's super convenient.
This year was my favorite year we've gone. It was snowing like crazy all day, but it stopped right before we went outside. The snow made it warmer than other years, but also kept people away. Usually it's crowded and hard to make it around the hoards of people, but this year it was practically empty. And the freshly fallen snow made everything just a little more magical.
They only light this tree every other year because it's so fragile, but when they do, it's always our favorite.
