Grandpa Hair’s Funeral

It’s kind of crazy to say that I only have one grandparent left. My Grandma Hair, but we always new she’d be the last one, she’s way to stubborn to die.
I got the text about 10 in the morning, it said that grandpa had a heart attack and my heart sank. I knew he couldn’t survive something like that, not at his age. Then about 15 minutes later, another text came through on my families thread saying that my grandpa had passed. I texted Chase, because I knew I couldn’t get through a conversation, he was rushing home. I sat in Lillies room crying while Lillie hugged me and said, “it’s going to be just fine mama, you’re okay.”
When Chase got home we went over to my parents house, my siblings showed up not too long after. We talked and cried. Then put together a quick dinner and played some games, they way that grandpa would have wanted it to be.
We saw so many miracles through this whole process, my parents were supposed to go to Montana earlier that week, but something was preventing them from going. They finally got out the door that morning, and only made it to Sandy before they got the call.
My grandpa didn’t end out dying from a heart attack but natural cause, so it was quick and painless.
The most heart breaking part was him leaving my grandma that has known him since she was 4 and he was 5, and been married for 68 years. How difficult that must have been.

All of my moms siblings together for the funeral.

We latter headed up to Kamas for the burial. Although heartbreaking, I’m grateful for the knowledge of eternal families. I know I’ll see him again, along with my other grandparents and my nephew.

The viewing and funeral were amazing. With over 120 grandchildren and 160 great grandchildren, we did the family prayer in the chapel. We shared memories, and my Uncle Moroni shared a beautiful testimony of Christ.
