California

We've been talking about a Jensen family trip for a few years now, it seems like something would always come up, but we were finally able to make a last minute trip work. We rented a beach out on Venice Beach, and it was so nice. We spent the first day driving, switching Airbnb's last minute (a little stressful, mostly for those that were there, Chase and I were still driving). We got settled late, and went to pick up everyone some pizza.
The next day we went and spent the day at the beach, then some time in the hot tub, out to dinner that night, and then to Abott street for some Salt and Straw ice cream, so good (and went every night after that.)
On Tuesday we went into LA to look at a couple of shops, stopped at Langers for the best pastrami sandwich of a lifetime, bet food I've ever eaten by far. It was so good, it would I hope it's the last meal I ever eat. The #19, just for future reference, because I'm definitely going back. Took a hike to over look LA, and then drove to the Santa Monica Pier to walk around and swing the girls for a minute, before we headed to Trader Joe's to pick up some stuff for dinner. That night we gathered around the fire pit, and talked, then we went off to Salt and Straw...again.
Wednesday we woke up early, took a walk on the beach, went back for some breakfast and headed out again to go to a farmers market. I told Chase that my dream job is to grow a bunch of flowers, put bouquets together and sell them at farmers markets. I would love that. Then we went home, we all took naps and read books while Lillie play, and then had some late lunch. Then spent some more time at the beach, took the boogie boards, and did some last day swimming in the Ocean. It was so nice, and all of my beach day dreams came true. That night we had some hole in the wall, Chinese take out, and then went out the Salt and Straw for the last time.
The following morning, we all got up and packed. Headed out to walk around the temple, and then headed home. A few stops later, we got home safe and sound at 12:30 in the morning. It was a long day, but a good drive. Our girls amazed us, they were so good the entire 11 hours.
All in all it was such a good trip. So fun to get together with family and spend some quality time, talking for hours at night, and laughing endlessly. So grateful I married into the family I did.
Now it's time for a photo dump.
