She’s so Sweet

There are some things I post because I want to remember them forever and ever, and this is one of those things. 

Lillie had a really rough night last night, we’re still not quick sure why. She was tossing and turning, then crying and screaming for hours at a time. Nothing was consoling her, and we were all getting frustrated. 

This morning i decided we would all take it easy and put Lillie in a warm bath to relax for a bit after such a hard night. When she was done, I got here ready and told her it was time for a nap. She ask told me, “I read one book, mom” and then went into her room as I tried to put E down for a nap as well. 

I walked in with a pile of books surrounding her, I don’t think she understands the meaning of the work “one” haha. I decided she could start with a little quiet time because Edie was losing it and I needed to go take care of her. As I sat on Edith’s mattress wasting too much time on my phone, I realized I didn’t hear Lillie anymore. I went to go check on her and this is what I found. Sweet Lil got tired, stacked her books at the end of her bed, tucked herself in and went to sleep, ALL BY HERSELF. This never happens, and it’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. 

This makes last night worth it. I adore her.
