Lillie meeting her sweet "baby sipper" made me the happiest mom, and her, if you couldn't tell. I had been wait for this day, for a long time. I expected Lillie to be able to meet her just a few hours after her birth.
We were heading home, when we were told she had to go to the NICU. So many emotions filled my soul, one of them most prominent was sadness.
I knew the following days would be incredibly hard, because I wouldn't be able to be with Lillie, apart for the very first time, and Lillie wouldn't be meeting her sister for another week.
It's not how it was supposed to go, but when they did finally meet, it made it all worth it.
