We spent the night at Chase’s parents house, because they live in downtown Salt Lake, just a few miles away from the airport. We woke up at 4 in the morning to make our flight by 5. Lillie was so good on both of our flights, and our layover was one gate over, so it was literally right across the hall, and we boarded right when we got there.
She took 2 naps, one on each flight, and entertained the rest of the passengers when she wasn't cranky. She's a wild one, but she knew what her mama needed, and stayed pretty good on our laps.
We got to the Jacksonville airport, and met up with Kelsey and Great. They were excited to see Lillie (who wouldn't be?), it warms my heart how loved she is.
We headed to Greats house and gots some snacks out. Then talked, and went on a walk.
Kara, Chases cousin, and her husband came over for dinner and then her sister later joined us, Emily. We talked with them late into the night, it was a blast. So funny, good to finally meet them, and get to know them.
They both work in the hospital it babies, Kara is a delivery nurse, she was telling us about all of the babies she's helped deliver, “Vegas Bankroll Millionaire”, “Daking and Damoney”, “A’jorney”, “Genuine Miracle”, “Yahighness”, not kidding…and there were more.
I have a feeling it's going to be a good trip. Even if the wedding we came for is cancelled.
